Kei,

I'm with you. We need to start seeing more police cars (not the red security force, but the white-blue ones). And they need to start ticketing for everything, like no turning-signal, changing lanes in turnarounds, etc. The size of the fees only work as a deterrent to an extent. For a laborer earning less than 1000QAR a month, the fee of 5000QAR or 50000QAR is exactly the same, exorbitant. And it' relatively easy to slow down for all the speed cameras, and ignore all other road rules. In fact, I see it very often that at the sight of a camera, the driver slow way below speed limit, which is an indication that they have no idea what the actual limit is.

I'm with you 100%.

Hi Mr Q,

I agree with you and hoping that the Traffic Dept will follow how Dubai tackle this on going problem that is happening now. The govt has to start educate and enforce the law to every one here.(meaning no bias)

First thing they have to do is to start checking whether the driver here have the valid driving license or not.(i bet some of the driver here does not have a valid licence)
