Can you go to Hong Kong?

Here’s some Qatar Airways magic right now.

Go to www.qatarairways.com right now, go book a one way ticket to HongKong. For dates, put in 26th of December.

For me, I found a ticket for 1,330 QR. Fantastic I thought.

I tried to book it and got an error. Went back, it was 1,550. No problem. I tried to book it. Error. It went up to 1,780. Error. 1990. WTF?!

So I tried to book it on the 27th. Same thing. Started at 1,550 then just kept going up every time I tried to buy the ticket.

Are they just changing prices now? Is it some sort of mess up with the system? *sighs*

I just want to book ONE easy ticket…

If I only had your credit card #, I could have booked it for you :D It was QR1990 before tax & 2300 afterward for Dec 26th. It let me all the way through to the credit card info. Try again! Good luck.

It passed to me too when I tried to book a flight to Philippines… the worst part is that it happens when you ar eat the last step (paying) so you don<t know if it worked or not.

In my case I had the booking number and everything, so when it “dissapears” I called to say I had the booking and they told me I had to do it again because the pay wasn’t done, so I said yes but now the price is higher they told me sorry Madame and recite me their web site policy that says that QA doesn’t assure the web site prices, that they changes and blahblahblah.

    LOL

    Hi Kei,

The best would be if you could give me your email, and I’ll send you all the details when you’r there.
For Shopping, the best places are
1/ Causeway Bay (Clothe, fashion, electronics)
2/ Central (Luxury, Jewels and designer’s)

For eating, I suggest Soho (easy pick) as it’s popular, fancy and you can find pretty much any food you like with High Quality standard.
Other choices include Stanley (eating in front of the sea)

For Clubbing, Lan Kwai Fong is THE place. Probably the craziest one you will ever see in the world. A set of streets packed up with clubs, bars and a paradise for expats willing to enjoy the nightlife of the Asia’s world city. It’s clean and safe.

For amusment parks, a choice is Disney Land, but Many locals prefer Ocean Park (a Qatari friend went there and agreed). It’s not as shiny as Mickey’s but tend to be cleaner and less populated. The rides are much more exciting than the one at Disneyland.

Drop me a line when you’r there and I can share more details.

    Cheers

    Yves

Freedom of Expression

Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which the Qatari Government is a signatory of states: Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any medias and regardless of any frontiers.

The Emiri Decision Number 86 of the year 2007 on the establishment of the Doha Free Information Centre marked yet another step towards establishing a State of rights and freedom of speech. The decision stipulated that the Centre be a non-profit organization, headquartered in Doha City, and have the authority to establish other affiliated centres inside and outside Qatar. It is worth mentioning that His Highness the Emir issued a decision in 1998 annulling the ministry of information, giving birth to a new era of freedom of speech where censorship was removed from local media.
