Just restart your Iphones after you enter those detalis , there will be a delay of 5~15 min max till the mms service is being activated from Qtel side , no need to download anything.

so you have to do the following :

you can manually activate that, but there are several steps involved. It’s your decision if it’s worth it, I will only give a quick description here, so it’s not for total noobs:
1. Install Erica’s Utilities from Cydia
2. SSH into your iphone and go to /private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundle.bundle/
3. Execute “plutil -convert xml1 carrier.plist” (without the “s)
4. Open carrier.plist in a text editor
5. go to the beginning of the file. It says something like:

below(!) that, enter this:

AllowEDGEEditing

save it.

one more thing to say there is no qtel_qa.plist but there is for vodafone_qa.plist.
so you better modify it or look for it and add it

I also just upgraded to an iphone 3GS and i rang qtel for the mms settings which are as you have described above. I have tried everything too but it still says sending failed try again later.
I think there is a little more to what meets the eye here and the settings need to be updated somehow.
It would be nice to know if anyone has in fact got their mms working.
