does the oilephobic screen work?

I picked up an iPhone 3GS from Vodafone yesterday. I just had to grab one since I loved my iPhone 3G but I needed something a bit faster. However that’s not the only feature I was looking forward to. Oelephobic screens are supposed to be the rage because you have a lower chance of leaving fingerprints and wiping off oil is easier. Am I feeling it? I don’t know… I mean all new phones are pretty easy to wipe clean at first, it’s after you get that super thin layer of oil (doesn’t sound nice huh?) that wiping it becomes an issue.

So far it feels pretty smooth to touch though and I am noticing that I’m not leaving fingerprints on it as much. I just wish they covered the WHOLE phone with that special coating that’s scared of oil.

    I’m a bit out of touch on this. What is the price of the iPhone 3GS and does it work fine with Qtel sim cards?

    I meant to clarify, I meant does the iPhone 3GS as sold by Vodafone Qatar work well with Qtel sim cards or does it need to be jailbroken?

    I got the 3GS 32gb for 3,600 QR and it’s unlocked and works with all networks :)

    how can Qtel advertise having the cheapest price in Qatar when they’re selling it for 3,800 !!!

    How is it unofficial when they have those posters all around doha?

    What’s is Qtel trying to do with their false advertisement?

    they;re buying and reselling. No deal with Apple. All networks that have a deal with Apple are visible on their site. I’m sure if you call Apple they’ll also be unappreciative of the fact.

    In regards to false advertisement. I’m not one to comment, but if I had to guess, they know that people expected Vodafone to get it, so they wanted to say “Hey we got it too”.

    Plus technically Qtel isn’t selling it. Starlink is selling it.

    If you had a faulty iPhone, who’d fix it?

Freedom of Expression

    Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which the Qatari Government is a signatory of states: Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any medias and regardless of any frontiers.

    The Emiri Decision Number 86 of the year 2007 on the establishment of the Doha Free Information Centre marked yet another step towards establishing a State of rights and freedom of speech.
