A selection of the best iPad cases

If you know Mr. Q, you know he loves Apple products. Wait, why am I talking like that…?

Apple’s designs are amazingly simple and at the end of the day, ILQ shares the same love for simplicity. We’re trying to make things look as simple as possible for our users.

So I now need a great case to protect my iPad and make me look like… a.. man in a…. thobe with an ipad in a…. case…. (I couldn’t think of anything smart to say alright?!)

Searching on Google, I couldn’t really find a nice collection of cases (especially slim ones) so I took it upon myself to provide you all with…..

So click on to read more!

Who knows , perhaps if I get my hands on some of these cases, I’ll be able to give people an overall score on the cases themselves.  In the mean time….

Case-mate’s Felt Folio – It’s pretty nice. It’ll be light, pretty, and the combination of textures will make it look unique

X-Gear Leather Carbon – In a very lovely carbon design that’s made out of leather, it’s probably one of the most attractive since it’s very slim and doesn’t add any extra bulk.

iKit Leather Folio – This folio is quite attractive. It also folds in quite a unique way. Rather than the arm sliding over the cover to hold it in place, it folds inwards first and the cover itself latches onto the arm.

Macally Bookstand – Their design is quite similar to Apple’s solution, except it’s much more attractive, especially with it’s beautiful suede cover.

Waterfield Smart Case – This is actually quite an attractive sleeve, the only issue I personally see here is actually pulling it out without causing the edges to bend permanently with excessive use.

Waterfield Suede Jacket – When I saw this, I immediately fell in love with how amazingly simple and slim it is, it’s ownly down side depends on how snug and easy it is to pull the iPad out of the sleeve.

Quirky Cloak – Not quite a cloak in the sense of the world, but what makes this special is two things. It’s a folio which lets you stand it in landscape mode, but it also has a stand for… em… standing it… in portrait. As a guy in the office named Laviniu says quite a lot… Niiiice!

Book for iPad – So simple, yet so stylish, to me this ‘would’ have been a contender but the sad thing is that it’s not held in place like a folio. Why have it as a slip inside? Pitty.

Vaja cases – They’ve got a nice sleeve, folio, and slim complete cover that are both beautiful as well as customizable. I wasn’t able to share any photos from their site since I couldn’t find many online.

iLuv Folio – Another very pretty cover, however sadly I’m not quite sure as to the combinations in choice and the fact that it doesn’t seem to have a magnetic latch or a clip to keep the cover closed.

Griffin Elan Passport – The most simple and the most elegant of the folio cases available. It definitely will make you look like a true business man.

So by now you’ll see that I favour the folio design. It makes sense for a device like this. You might be able to find more, and if you do, be sure to share them with us!

Freedom of Expression

Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which the Qatari Government is a signatory of states: Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any medias and regardless of any frontiers.

The Emiri Decision Number 86 of the year 2007 on the establishment of the Doha Free Information Centre marked yet another step towards establishing a State of rights and freedom of speech. The decision stipulated that the Centre be a non-profit organization, headquartered in Doha City, and have the authority to establish other affiliated centres inside and outside Qatar. It is worth mentioning that His Highness the Emir issued a decision in 1998 annulling the ministry of information, giving birth to a new era of freedom of speech where censorship was removed from local media.
