I really appreciate the Filipino community in Qatar. They work hard, they’re fun, they’re friendly, and they’re amazingly social!
So when one ILQ’s supporters told me that they wanted to spread some ILQ love, it was my pleasure to give them some support! I’m definately going to try and make Fiesta Pinoy 2011.

So ILQ sponsored the Art Dog Day and the Fur Ball that happened some days ago. It was so great to be a part of a fun event! We’re taught in our faith, that it’s important to treat all of God’s creatures with respect.
Let’s look at the concept of Halal for example (no I’m not encouraging eating your pets! Relax!) The reason why we have Halal food is because it’s a human way of killing livestock. So it’s funny how someone can go and kick a cat, but then ask for a Halal burger. Ah well, I digress!

Looks like we’re going to get a Water Park in Qatar. No no, not the one in Villaggio which we gave the scoop on a while back http://iloveqatar.net/forum/read.php?5,7320,7320#msg-7320, but a full fledged water park!
The aqua park will be an entertainment centre spread over 100,000sq m on the Salwa Road, what’s better, it’ll be open April 2010!!
“Hala Group Enterprises general manager Ijaz Malik told Gulf Times that the park would feature a giant “wave pool”, a “lazy river”, an activity pool, a multiple slides complex, a family pool and a “dry” corner. Hala Group Enterprises is the developer of the project
Adjacent to the aqua park will be a 300,000sq m resort, currently under-construction and expected
to be completed in June 2011.”
